Baby things make me happy…

The summer is here! This is one of the highlights of being a teacher. And I truly hope I get some baking and making done this summer. I have one million ideas that I need to be materialized ASAP. A lot of these ideas are coming from the THE best website ever created, Pinterest! I can’t handle all the pictures and ideas. My mind is in overload every time I go there! Here’s my personal page if you want to see my “pins”. The quotes page and craft page are my faves.

So my twin and I turned 27 this month! I can remember yesterday being in 5th grade! When did we grow up so fast?! It’s crazy how life flies when you’re having fun. Anyway, we spend every birthday together. And whoever we marry is going to have to deal with this. We were together in the womb for Pete’s sake! It has to be this way. :)

Lisa (my sister) got me a really cool present this year that we saw in a magazine. A baby cupcake maker!! If you know me, you know I loveeeee baby things. Baby clothes MELT me. Babies are cute. Puppies (baby dogs) kill me. One time, Nate and I ate at a restaurant and it had a baby ketchup.  You know I took a picture of that! You get the picture, I can’t handle mini anything.

So here’s the baby cupcake maker, call babycakes (how appropriate).

Needless to say, I was real excited! She spent more than this ($30!), but I just found it here for $15!! It comes with a booklet for recipes and instructions. But the coolest part is that it comes with directions and tools to make baby pies!!! Ughhh, I died when I saw this. You make dough and use the cut out to make little crust pies and then do the filling. Ridic. I’ll try it soon!

Here’s how easy this thing is to use: you make your cake batter normal and poor the batter into the droplets. This seemed easier than it was bc I don’t like to drip batter drops all over it. Then you plug it in and it heats immediately. You bake the cupcakes from 5-8 minutes!

Then you just open it up and scoop out the baked cuppycakes! This thing is genius!

Result : a ton of baby cupcakes!!!….

Oh I forgot to tell you why I was making them. For Father’s day! For the best daddy ever! (Shoutout #1)

His favorite color is blue so I put blue sprinkles on them!

DSCN0625 and then I put some cute sprinkles on them and brought them to my bff (who was in town), shoutout #2 goes to Rebecca Fite. :)

Needless to say, I LOVE my new baby cupcake maker. It’s so fun and puts a new twist on baking. I’ll be using it often. Who doesn’t love the built-in portion control (if you don’t eat one million). :) Thanks Lisa, for a great gift! You are the best twin! :)
